Sixth grade students in the class of teacher John Mitchell are provided with a number of technological enhancements for their learning of math. They regularly use notebook computers, take quizzes using “clickers”, and use Palms to reinforce math facts and concepts. Two new additions to Mr. Mitchell’s classroom are Wii Remote (Wiimote) Whiteboards. These interactive whiteboards perform much like those made by Smart Technologies and Promethean but at a fraction of the cost. Mr. Mitchell even built the special pens for use with the whiteboards.
